Day hike in the El Imposible National Park - home to a wide variety of plant and animal life including pumas, wild boar, king hawks and black-crested eagles.
Take a scenic drive through El Salvador's 'Ruta de las Flores', visiting the local communities of Juayúa, Nahuizalco, Apaneca and Ahuachapán. End the day in Suchitoto, a charming colonial city.
City Tour of Suchitoto, one of El Salvador's best-preserved cities from Hispanic times. Options this afternoon to take a boat ride on Lake Suchitlan or to visit a local indigo plantation.
Perkin & Jiquilisco Bay
Drive over to the mountain town of Perkin, site of some of El Salvador's most intense conflicts in the 1980s. Visit the War Museum where an ex-guerilla will be your guide and provide a moving & fascinating insight to this period in El Salvador's history. End the day on the coast, in Jiquilisco Bay.
Jiquilisco Bay is a major nesting site for the Hawksbill Sea Turtle and is also home to over 80 species of migratory birds. Enjoy a day trip by boat up the Bay to discover its wildlife, and take advantage of the spectacular backdrop of volcanoes to take some memorable photos.
Transfer down the coast for some well-earned R&R. El Salvador is well-known for its surfing breaks but there are also pockets of beaches suitable for swimming and snorkelling.
